With
the inauguration of this web site in March 2002, the Department
of Communication and Creative Arts ventures into an emerging
and highly dynamic electronic communication field called webcasting.
PUC-Radio and PUC-TV broadcast services will offer students,
faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and other interested individuals
in Northwest Indiana and, indeed, throughout the world, a
wide range of educational, informative, and entertainment
programs. These programs will be available on demand
to anyone connected to the World Wide Web, anywhere in the
world. PUC-Radio and PUC-TV will also provide an excellent
opportunity to our students to actively engage in various
aspects of audio and video production, streaming, programming,
operation, and management.
Furthermore, through this web site, you will
get an opportunity to listen to Chancellor
Howard Cohen's perspective on PUC-Radio and also Purdue
President Martin Jischke's
weekly address aired on WBBA Radio.
A selected number of radio and television
features, documentaries, interviews, and panel discussions--produced
by our Radio_TV Broadcasting students will also be available
online. Please visit us often and feel free to offer
your comments and/or suggestions for improving the contents
and quality of PUC-TV and PUC-Radio webcasts.
With warmest regards,
Yahya
